Hand Mirror with Beaded Renaissance Pomegranate Motif
Mirror, mirror in my hand --
Who’s the fairest in the land?
It’s easy to feel like the most beautiful woman in the world with this hand beaded mirror on your vanity table.
It’s made of wood, with a renaissance pomegranate motif worked in beads on its back.
The mirror measures 12-1/4” long by 5-3/4” at its widest, with a mirror surface that’s 5” in diameter.
The pomegranate figures largely in the mythologies of many cultures, most often symbolizing fertility and prosperity.
The pomegranate was the symbol of Hera, queen of the gods of the ancient Greeks.
Many ladies of note used the pomegranate as their heraldic badges during the renaissance.
Perhaps the best known is Catherine of Aragon, whose symbol was a crowned pomegranate.
Also on offer is a trinket box with a slightly different rendering of the pomegranate motif using the same beads.
Buy the pair, and we’ll refund ten per cent (10%).
It’s truly one of a kind -- just what you’d expect from SPARKLE PLENTY.
